Flaxie Hugs Eye Mask Cured My Puffy Eyes
I look like I’ve been run over by a train this morning. It’s Friday, I have puffy eyes, and I need to feel better! Here’s a dramatic little story about how my Flaxie Hugs eye mask cured my puffy eyes, Martie style.
I’m female, as you know, which should lead you to naturally assume that I have a good cry every now and then. Last night was one of those times. Everything is cool…just normal life stresses that men get silent about and women wail, snot and bawl about. Totally normal. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that our home is in shambles, and we can’t find the time to get things done.
How I Cured My Puffy Eyes
Unfortunately, the weeping and gnashing of teeth, along with a lack of decent sleep, has made my eyes look so puffy and swollen! I woke up and went into the bathroom this morning, and I nearly started crying again when I saw my face! Think “Sta-Puff Marshmallow Man”, only with 40-something skin imperfections. Oh, cripes…Fine…I’ll just show you.Ok, sorry about that. It’s worth scaring you, though, to tell you about what I did next. I went to my Flaxie Hugs stash, and I stole an Goodnight Hugs Eye Mask from my inventory. It’s a flax seed heat pack in the shape of a cute sleep mask, perfect for the problem at hand. Who’d a thought you could use an eye mask for puffy eyes?
After deactivating this cold compress for eyes from my Etsy shop (I stole from myself), I put the eye mask in a sandwich bag and stuck it in the freezer (it can also be microwaved and used as a warm compress eye mask, FYI). I so wish I had done that last night, but I didn’t think rationally. I was too busy crying.
After about 30 minutes in the freezer (plenty of time to look for shoes, pay for fund-raiser orders, help find backpacks and school supplies, and get my family out the door), I took my Goodnight Hugs Eye Mask out and put it on. It’s Friday, and I have an early appointment, but this just has to be done. If I went to work looking like this, everyone would think that Coach had beat me up, or that I drank myself into oblivion last night! Besides, I don’t mind sitting around for 10 minutes drinking coffee in the morning. I even set a timer, so I know it was exactly 10 minutes, and I could not believe the results! No more baggy, puffy eyes!
Of course, I knew this about my Goodnight Hugs Eye Masks. I’ve used them in this way many times before. I just somehow lost the last one I stole from myself ….probably in the move. Now I can face my Friday with confidence! I even had time to do my makeup, so nothing was lost by my lolly-gagging.
I wish I’d had something that cured my puffy eyes when I was in college…all that
partying late night studying was hard on me!
But Wait, There’s More!
This is just one example of what my hand made Flaxie Hugs can do! To give you another: on Monday, I woke up with awful neck and shoulder pain. I slept too good on Sunday night, and apparently didn’t move much. I had my big ‘ol “Hug Your Neck” Flaxie Hug already in the freezer, the perfectly shaped microwave neck heat wrap!
so I put it on my shoulders and neck for a good while, until it stopped feeling cold. Then I microwaved it for 1 minute and 15 seconds, and put it on hot for a while. I was able to move around and get things done while I wore it, because the design of this bag helps it stay on your shoulders nicely without slipping off. The weight of it feels so good! Once I had done that, I went about the rest of my day virtually pain-free. The moist heat and cold that these bags provide is amazing, and they really do work!
I just felt the need to do a little testimonial this morning, so you could see what the hype is about with these cute fabric bags I’m always sharing. They are not just cute, but so very functional. If you have aches and pains, sleepless nights, headaches, sinus trouble, or just like a warm hug every now and then, you need a Flaxie Hug. I don’t just make them, I use them…all the time!
I hope your Friday is fabulous, but if your Friday night is a little too fabulous, just remember how I cured my puffy eyes…my Goodnight Hugs Eye Mask!
I sure do feel better!
